Fliers - Broschures for the May 13th Men Mobilizing Men event were handed out. Discussion followed on Bill's emailed distribution plan by Board Members.

President's Report - 13 of 40 Churches in the Omaha District are Chartered as United Methodist Men's Groups.

Two E.M.S. Supporters were unknown to those present; Von Trimble Sr. 451-5126, and Michael LaCroix 280-2217. Could these be future Board Members ?

 

Fontanelle - Many small groups are working at the Camp ! Bill is working to aquire used power poles for a bridge.

 

M.M.M.May 13th Agenda - Discussion followed.D.S. may be unavailable. Board Members will testify at 1pm. Stress the 'no cost' aspect of event. Foundation talk will be an add on. Bill will ask if a prepared Liturgy is available for a U.M.Men's Sunday.

100 Club - Randy shared that Gretna U.M.C. only needed 22 donors to honor their Pastor with a Plaque.

 

Bike Ride ? - Bill proposed a pledge type, fund-raising bike ride to support our U.M.Men's Mission. Scott proposed a motorcycle Circuit Ride. We spoke of our committment to gleaning potatoes in the Fall and Tabled other ideas.

 

Annual Conference Dinner and Auction - on June 15th, in Kearney Holiday Inn, a $10 / Plate dinner will be held. Bishop Anne will again be offering a Bishop's Dinner in her home for the Auction. Do you have an item or talent to donate ?

 

Elections - Bill Stambaugh has been asked to consider running for the office of U.M.Men's Conf. President.

 

Scouting - Duane Daake, Ne. Conf. Scouting Co-ordinator spoke of attending our May 13th Rally. It was noted that Scouting was not on that day's agenda because Scouting was more of an outreach of an active Men's Group.

 

Flier Distribution - Dave asked if we could share the flier next time, as an email, inline or attachment that could then be sent to our District office and Minutes List ? Bill said Deb Keeney will email all Pastors from the District office.
